My discussions with dealers over the last couple of weeks sound like business is settling down a little bit, but still ahead of the same time period in 2019. With developing inventory shortages, the trend we saw in May would almost be impossible to maintain.

Dealers should be taking this opportunity to clean house, getting rid of all the old inventory that collects from poor inventory management practices. When I finally get a chance to see the June data, I’m expecting my 20 Groups to have reduced inventory levels, and increased margins. Anyone who doesn’t better be prepared for some abuse.
