Every industry is better when its members work together to achieve big things.
Until a couple of years ago, the motorcycle industry did not have a national dealer association. That came to an end once a group of forward thinking individuals decided there was a need for one. In just a couple of years, the National Powersports Dealer Association has gone from 0 members, to just shy of 300. Adding a new member every 2 or 3 days is a level of growth not seen in many industries, and goes to show that there was a pent up need for an organization to represent American powersports dealers.
Tucker, one of the industry’s largest aftermarket suppliers, was formed in 1967 when Ed Tucker started a small business selling motor oil out of the trunk of his car. Through his unrelenting drive, determination, and hustle the company quickly grew. After several mergers and acquisitions, Tucker acquired a company by the name of Rocky Cycles and the name Tucker Rocky was born. Over the next 50+ years, Tucker Rocky became a leading distributor in the powersports industry. In 2018, Tucker Rocky was rebranded as Tucker, and a new era began.
Seeing a great opportunity to support the powersports industry, the leadership team at Tucker Powersports recently announced a dealer support program which will pay the National Powersports Dealer Association (NPDA) membership fees for Tucker’s best dealers.
Based on a dealer’s annual purchases, they can enroll in Tucker’s VIP program. Here are the annual purchase levels and the associated benefits*.

While the annual membership in the NPDA is inexpensive, the fact that Tucker is willing to cover this cost for hundreds of dealers is a big commitment, and we are extremely grateful.
The NPDA and its board members are working hard to expand membership. If you’d like to take advantage of Tucker’s offer to pay for your annual membership, then reach out to your local Tucker rep and ask them for some assistance. They can let you know your VIP status, and what level of assistance you qualify for. If you pay for your membership up front and then find out that Tucker would cover your dues, there is not a mechanism in place to obtain a refund on your original payment, so please make the best choice for your dealership.
Regardless of which option that you choose, we ask that dealers and their employees recognize the efforts Tucker is making to support them and the powersports industry.
