Gold coins and a hundred dollar bill on a table

I’ve spent most of the last week working on emergency plans for our own dealership, while also working with a multitude of other dealers on local and regional problems they are dealing with. One of the big questions is what are the OEMs going to do? Cut orders, help with flooring, retail programs?

Here’s what I know (primarily looking at support on the wholesale side for now, not retail)
BRP – flooring support through the end of June
Honda – flooring support for March
KTM – flooring support for March/April
Kawasaki – flooring support for March/April
Polaris – said a program would be announced ~ 3/20
Ducati – flooring support for 2 weeks of March interest

Some of the OEMs have privately accused me of being too hard on them and their programs, but I just call it like I see it. That being said, I’d like to give huge props to BRP for the efforts they are taking to support dealers during this crisis. Not only have they announced the best flooring support of all the major OEMs, but they simplified their dealer bonus program, qualified all dealers for the bonus, and announced strong retail support programs. Way to go BRP!

What are the OEMs in Powersports doing to support dealers during the COVID-19 crisis?
